About Me

-I'm a writer and filmmaker residing in St. Louis New York.

-You can e-mail me by clicking here

-I'm not the same Michael Streeter who wrote a book about psychic animals or rockhounding in North Carolina, or witchcraft, or hypnosis, or Franco. Same name, different people.

-I'm 25 years old.

-My first book, Nothing Lost Forever: The Films of Tom Schiller, about the Saturday Night Live writer, came out in June of 2005. It chronicles all of Schiller's classic short films at SNL in the 1970s, 80s and 90s, as well as his unreleased 1983 feature film Nothing Lasts Forever. The book also includes extensive new interviews that I conducted with Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Lorne Michaels, Zach Galligan, and many others.

-I speak four different languages: English, Dutch, German and French. Does that make me quadrilingual?

-I'm crazy about movies and I hold a B.A. in Film. I have seen over 3500 flicks and have made a few shorts, too. This is my page on IMDb.

-My favorite films include Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Double Indemnity... actually, you can see a list of my 100 Favorite Films.

-My favorite directors are Tod Browning, Clint Eastwood and Hal Ashby. My favorite actors include Chevy Chase, Clint Eastwood, Bill Murray and Jeff Bridges.

-My favorite music includes: Pearl Jam, The Strokes, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Soundgarden/Chris Cornell/Audioslave, Muse, Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M., The White Stripes, U2, Sting/The Police, Placebo, Stone Temple Pilots, The Mars Volta and many others.
